Why choose Surfshark for your free VPN trial?
A VPN subscription with Surfshark places key features and benefits at your fingertips, letting you accomplish the following:
Protect multiple devices
With our free trial, you can get VPN (Virtual Private Network) coverage on three devices at once. After that, you’ll unlock unlimited simultaneous connections. To give our free trial a go, create a Surfshark account, install the app, and enjoy a safer, more private internet experience.
Customize your access
Some location-based websites and apps work only when your actual IP (Internet Protocol) address is visible. With Surfshark’s Bypasser split-tunneling feature, you can choose which sites and apps skip VPN encryption for smoother, secure browsing.
Stay private online
Top VPN providers like Surfshark don’t monitor your online activities and help keep private information safe from hackers, snoops, or ISPs (Internet Service Providers). Shield yourself from prying eyes with our free VPN trial today.
Achieve reliable safety
Surfshark’s kill switch disconnects you from the internet if your VPN connection drops. Think of it as an automatic safety net — it stops you from leaking unencrypted data and surfing without safeguards.
Block ads and malware
Most ad blocking browser extensions only block ads and pop-ups on a browser level. With a VPN ad blocker like Clean Web, you’ll be free from ads and malware on browsers and mobile apps. Start your VPN trial to see it at work.
Get extra privacy
Obfuscated servers, also known as stealth VPN, hide your data and make a VPN connection much more difficult to identify — even your ISP will have a hard time telling you’re connected to a VPN.
Disclaimer: Please note that using Surfshark services — even on a free VPN trial — for any illegal activities is strictly forbidden and violates our Terms of Service. Make sure that any use of Surfshark services for your particular activities conforms to all relevant laws and regulations, including those of any service providers and websites you access using Surfshark.

Frequently asked questions
Is Surfshark VPN free?
Surfshark isn’t a fully free service, but it offers a 7-day free trial. Treat this as your chance to test out Surfshark. You can easily set up the free VPN trial on Windows, macOS, and other platforms for up to three devices. If you don’t think it’s the best VPN for you, simply walk away after your 7 days are up.
If you’re satisfied with Surfshark after your trial period, you can continue with a paid subscription.
How does Surfshark’s free trial work?
To activate your free trial, choose a 12-month or 24-month Surfshark plan and provide your email and payment details (credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay) to verify you are a first-time user. You will pay $0.00 upfront and receive complete, unrestricted access to reliable VPN protection for 7 days.
Can I cancel before being charged?
Yes, you can cancel your free trial at any point during the 7 days, and you won’t be charged a single cent. To avoid future payments, simply log into your account dashboard on Surfshark’s website or your mobile app store settings before your 7 days are up and disable auto-renewal.
What happens after the free trial ends?
Once your 7-day free trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert into a paid plan, and your payment will be processed according to the plan you selected at signup.
What devices support the Surfshark free trial?
You can set up and run your Surfshark free trial on a wide range of platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and more. During the trial period, you can secure up to three devices at the same time. Once you transition to a paid subscription, you will unlock completely unlimited simultaneous connections for all your devices.
Are all Surfshark features accessible during the free trial?
Yes, you can access all of Surfshark’s features during your VPN free trial. There are no limits, and you get the full experience, including three simultaneous connections (unlimited after the trial).
Is a free trial better than a free VPN?
Free trial VPNs are better than free VPNs. Be wary of free VPN providers because they often limit user data and lack key security features, like a kill switch or ad blocker. Does Surfshark have a 30-day money-back guarantee?
Yes, Surfshark has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Subscribe to Surfshark, and if you’re not convinced it’s the best VPN for you, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

- Log in to your account on the Surfshark website.
- Select your profile icon in the top right corner.
