Post-breach Alert recommendations
We won’t leave you to deal with data breaches on your own. Starting October 2023, on top of alerting you about data leaks, Surfshark Alert tells you what to do if your info appears in one of them.
On the Alert page, you can see a list of recommended actions and an emergency plan. Even though we love this update, let’s hope you’ll never have to use it.

Webcam protection
No more sticky notes covering your webcam! That’s what we told you in January of 2023. Why? Because we released a feature that protects your webcam in a sleek manner.
Surfshark Antivirus now prevents unauthorized access to your camera and sends notifications whenever an app attempts to access your camera behind your back. If you’ve never heard of this, check out our blog post about Webcam protection.

Dynamic MultiHop
Double VPN with a twist — you select two servers your connection will be routed through. Sounds good? We made it a reality in January 2023.
This feature allows even more customizability when selecting countries to connect to. With the Dynamic MultiHop, you can manually choose your server locations without limitations. For more information, check out this article.

Dedicated IP
We hinted at this for so long that it’s only fair to put personal dedicated VPN servers on the list of our favorites.
In June of 2023, we finally launched Dedicated IP for everyone, and it has quickly become your favorite. So check it out and reduce “prove you’re not a robot” puzzles, avoid IP blocklists, & enjoy other benefits!
Since the initial release, we have launched 14 Dedicated IP locations and don’t have any plans to stop. So, if you haven’t tried it, check it out.

Alternative ID
One of the newest additions to our product family, Alternative ID, caught on so fast that we decided to put it as the number one favorite feature of the year.
Released in August of 2023, Alternative ID shields your info and helps you avoid data leaks (as well as a spam-filled inbox). Use it to keep your true identity a secret when creating new accounts, subscribing to newsletters, or on any other websites you don’t fully trust.
