Minecraft was first fully released in the ancient days of 2011. This first-person survival builder/crafter immediately grew in both popularity and complexity. Its popularity stems from the creative freedom it allows and the minimal computer requirements. That’s how players went from punching the ground and trees to build their first mud hut to constructing massive structures and intricate machines.
Internally, Minecraft expanded a whole lot, introducing new items, enemies, realms, and gameplay modes. It has also expanded externally with games like Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends developed to take the world of Minecraft in different directions.
