Senior System Engineer (Go) - Metal Platform

Tech
Vilnius / Kaunas / Warsaw
A hand holding a magnifying glass over an eye.
We're building the platform that orchestrates how software moves across our entire server fleet. You'll work in Go on the control-plane services driving deployments, and shape the Linux image and boot path that safely brings servers from power-on to running production software.

If you want to:

  • Design and build Go services for fleet-wide deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management;

  • Work on the Linux image and boot path used by servers in the fleet;

  • Contribute to the cryptographic protocols and machine-attestation work behind it;

  • Help keep the system's security properties verifiable as it evolves.

And you can check off:

  • Strong Go and a track record of shipping production backend services;

  • Solid Linux internals: kernel boot, initramfs, networking stack;

  • Comfortable with modern cryptographic primitives and authn building blocks (mTLS, OIDC, signature schemes);

  • Security-first mindset: you think in threat models, key rotation, and blast radius.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked with hardware roots of trust or measured boot;

  • Have shipped supply-chain primitives (reproducible builds, SBOMs, artifact attestation);

  • Have used formal-methods tools to reason about protocols or systems.

Here's the deal:

  • Growth and learning opportunities: time dedicated to learning, conferences, online learning platforms, and books for your professional development;
  • Health and wellness: we want you to feel and be your best. That's why we offer various benefits, from online workouts, a physical coach and a gym to regular mental health checks;
  • Tools of your choice: choose technical equipment and the tools you need to do your best;
  • Community and celebrations: get ready for long-lasting traditions such as yearly workation, Friday get-togethers, various team buildings and company celebrations;
  • Convenient commuting: traveling from point A to point B can be a pain. That’s why, depending on your unique circumstances, we compensate part of your public transport costs;
  • Work-life balance: We encourage working in the office, with the possibility of up to two remote days per week. Plus, with our WFA policy, you can work from almost anywhere in the world;
  • Premium Surfshark accounts: for you, your family, and friends;
  • Gross salary: 4750 - 7200 Eur/month for the Lithuanian market, 22000 - 33400 PLN/month for the Polish market. It may vary depending on your skills, experience, or location.
