Datacenters Platform Team Lead
We're scaling the team that owns the infrastructure our internal services run on datacenter networking, Kubernetes, distributed storage, virtualization, observability, and automation.
We're looking for a Team Lead who has run infra or platform teams before, who's comfortable holding the line on planned work without flattening the engineering culture that gets things shipped, and who wants to grow a senior team through the next stage of platform maturity.
You'll partner with the team's Tech Lead, who owns the technical direction, your focus is people, delivery, process, and hiring.
If you want to:

Lead a team of senior infrastructure engineers, partnering with an in-seat Tech Lead who owns technical direction;

Drive the team's move from manual operations toward GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and declarative reconcilers, owning delivery, sequencing, and resourcing;

Own the operating model, interrupt management, planned-work discipline, on-call hygiene and documentation quality.
And you can check off:

Proven experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams, including line-management of senior individual contributors;

Strong working knowledge of the substrate the team owns (Kubernetes, distributed storage, datacenter networking, virtualization), enough to partner credibly with the Tech Lead and hold delivery conversations with senior ICs;

A track record of moving a team from manual ops toward GitOps / IaC, with concrete before-and-after evidence;

Real-world experience running a WIP-limited or interrupt-managed operating model;

Direct hiring experience: sourcing, interviewing, and closing senior platform engineers;

Experience working in a Tech Lead + Team Lead pair (or analogous split between technical authority and people/process authority).
Bonus points if you:

Have hands-on background with multi-datacenter architecture, dual-site observability, or cross-site failover;

Have led or contributed to cloud-to-on-prem migration patterns on Kubernetes;

Are comfortable with policy-as-code, GitOps tooling, and platform backup/restore tooling.
