HR Business Partner (tech)

The HR team is the backbone of Surfshark, handling everything people-related. We recruit top talent, onboard newcomers, and up-skill employees through Learning & Development. HR Business Partners tackle complex team and structural challenges, while HR Operations manage processes and data. Admins ensure a great office environment, and our Recruitment team grows Surfshark by bringing in talented individuals. With their support, we’ve grown to 500+ strong and continue to thrive.

Now, our HR team is looking for additional hands and brains to join and help us keep growing. As an HR Partner, you will play a critical role in aligning human resources initiatives and functions with the company’s overall business strategy. You will collaborate with the Engineering department (160 people strong) to provide strategic HR support, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive organizational effectiveness.

If you want to:

  • Be responsible for strategic HR partnership;
  • Collaborate with department heads and leads to comprehend their unique HR needs and challenges, creating customized solutions;
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to pinpoint improvement opportunities, suggesting proactive strategies for organizational development;
  • Offer guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR topics like onboarding, off-boarding, performance, relations, team development and structure;
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including change management, employee engagement, organizational restructuring, and process improvement efforts.

  • Proven experience as HR business partner, HR lead, HR head, or similar role, especially in rapidly growing tech companies;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a strong sense of urgency;
  • Logical and analytical thinking, project management skills;
  • Experience in coaching managers in difficult situations;
  • Can-do attitude, adept problem-solving, and self-organization;
  • Empathetic skills — the ability to deal with different concerns and listen to people;
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with employees and management;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English (spoken and written).
