Spam emails include investment schemes (“Great opportunity to invest!”), healthcare and medicine scams (“A new weight loss pill that works 100%”), phishing emails (“Urgently change your Gmail password”), malware links (“You’ve won 50,000 dollars! Click here to claim your prize”), get-rich-quick proposals (“How to become a millionaire overnight”), and all types of other internet fraud attempts.

Get email filters
Email filters help avoid an influx of spam in your inbox. They can also protect you from senders that are known to be malicious or domains that are trying to mimic legit brands.
Have two emails
One personal, one for spam. It’s always better to have a separate email address for websites you don’t care about.
Remain skeptical
Don’t answer or participate in promotional messages unless you’ve personally subscribed to them. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
